Rohit breaks Gayle's record, becomes first to hit 50 World Cup sixes

Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team's opener, became the first batter to hit 50-plus sixes in the World Cup, surpassing Chris Gayle's previous record of 49. He also became the batter with the most sixes in a single World Cup edition, surpassing Gayle's 26 maximums in the 2015 tournament. Rohit's record-breaking moment occurred in the fifth over of the match against New Zealand, when he hit his 50th six in World Cups. The crowd celebrated as he etched his name in history.
