South Africa rest Bavuma for white-ball series vs India, Markram to lead

South Africa have rested skipper Temba Bavuma for their home white-ball series against India following a challenging Cricket World Cup performance. Bavuma will lead the team in the two-Test series starting on December 26. Aiden Markram will captain both the Twenty20 and ODI sides against India, potentially taking on a dual role in the future. Bavuma's average of 18.12 across eight World Cup games with a high score of 35 was the reason for his rest.
