ICC introduces changes to DRS protocols, concussion rules

The International Cricket Council has made significant changes to its Decision Review System (DRS) protocols and concussion replacement rules, effective from December 12, 2023. The changes aim to improve clarity and fairness in the decision-making process, particularly in stumping reviews. Umpires will now assess side-on replays for stumping without considering caught-behind scenarios during DRS referrals by the teams. Teams wishing to refer to a caught-behind appeal along with stumping must use a separate DRS option.
